Photo Friday – Traditions

This week’s photo Friday is entitled “Traditions.”  I do appologize for being late with my submission; I’ve been quite busy since Thursday.  Instead of doing pics, I decided to do a video, incorporating some pics on “tradition.”  I think the video and words will have a good idea on our traditions.  To see the video in a larger view, visit the photo blog at cordiebpics.wordpress.com  Have a great Sunday!

A Mid-Summer’s Night’s Dream

There is nothing so enchanting, I’ve ever seen

Than hanging out with the universe in a Mid-Summer Night’s Dream

As I drink a glass of wine with the Man in the Moon

We laugh, swing and dance to a joyous tune

We sway to the gentle melodys

Soon the stars join our midsummer night’s harmonies

The wind warmly joins with a gentle breeze

Oh my, look who came! It’s the dew drops and trees!

Nothing’s so peaceful, so delightful, so supreme . . .

As drinking wine with the universe, in a Midsummer Night’s Dream

~Dreamth By CordieB.

My friend SanityFound inspired me to write this poem. SanityFound often spends evenings conversing with the moon! I’ve joined her on some occasions! All are invited to come – Nothing’s as delightful! Also, this is a poem which accompanied my entry this week in Photo Friday.   The layout of this blog is not good for displaying photos.  The topic for this week is”Mid-summer’s Night Dream.”   Isn’t that just dreamy!  To see the photo and links to all Photo Friday entries for this week, click here!

Photo Friday – Diptychs or Triptychs

Diptychs ( or Triptychs if you prefer to use 3 images) chosen by Author

(Diptychs – two is better than one! Tell a story in just two frames. Get creative. Think in pairs! The aim of diptychs / triptychs is to make an interaction between two / three photos in such a way that the whole work has a greater value than its components).

I must admit, I had no idea of the meanings of these words; My vocabulary has increased since I’ve started Photo-Friday-ing.  I had planned on taking pictures of my son’s biceps; as I just knew the term had something to do with muscles.  I’m glad I went back to Author’s blog to get the definition; else I would have been madly embarrased if I had displayed pictures of Samuel’s physique.  So, here’s my Triptychs for this week’s Photo Friday!   To see this in full view, check out my photo blog at http://cordiebpics.wordpress.com

Photo Friday Phantasmagoria!

I Dream in Colors whenever I Dream of You – in my dream Utopia!

The stars look up to you, my love – my night time is our euphoria

I fantasize in your dreamy eyes – through reality or fantasy disguise

There’s always a surreal, sensual surprise, in our Phantasmagoria

Mom’s Aways watching over you, even in your dreams, your Phantasmagoria –

My senses and invisible eyes are in constant state of being – cyclophoria!

In the Sun’s rising and setting, through clouds, or the moon’s crescent.

Through lightness, darkness, angels or demons – My peace is ever present.

This week’s topic (May 30th) is Phantasmagoria.  This dreamy word was chosen by me.  I first learned of it from a beautiful poem, written by the Angel, Enreal

Here is what I found on the word . . . .

Encarta Definition:
phan·tas·ma·go·ry [ fan tázmə gàwree ] (plural phan·tas·ma·go·ries)

noun

Definition:

1. bizarre images: a series or group of strange or bizarre images seen as if in a dream

2. ever-changing scene: a scene or view that encompasses many things and changes constantly

Miriam Webster Definition:

1: an exhibition or display of optical effects and illusions
2 a: a constantly shifting complex succession of things seen or imagined b: a scene that constantly changes
3: a bizarre or fantastic combination, collection, or assemblage

Urban Dictionary Definition:
1. phantasmagoria 7 up, 1 down

The best word in the world, it is used to describe a group of mythical and fantasy creatures, or just top confuse people as most people have never heard it.
As he looked into the forest he saw all manner of Phantasmagoria.

The House that Jack Built

The House that Jack Built

The House that Jack Built II

The Gate Jack Walked Out Of!

The was the dream of an upright man
This was the room that was filled with love
This was a love that I was proud of
This was a life of a love I planned
Of a love and a life we loved
Of the house that Jack built.
Remember this house!

There was the fence that held our love,
There was the gate that he walked out of
This is the heart that is turned to stone
This was the house, but it ain’t no home
This is the love that I once had
In a dream that I thought was love,
This is the house that Jack built,
I’m gonn’ remember this house!

Happy Mother’s Day!

To see this weeks photos in the larger size, simply click on the image.  As you can see, my page design does not allow for large prints.

I never knew taking a picture of myself could be so difficult! I couldn’t get a good smile going – because as you might guess, I had a serious tude at the time. So, I engaged in some self-theraphy by writing my ideas on the cover of the flickr toy, Magazine. It worked! I feel much better now!
