More on Colors. . .Just in Case You Didn’t Know. . .  🙂

Almost all visible colors can be obtained by the additive color mixing of three colors that are in widely spaced regions of the visible spectrum. If the three colors of light can be mixed to produce white, they are called primary colors and the standard additive primary colors are red, green and blue.

Two colors that produce white when added together are called complementary. The color complementary to a primary color is called a secondary color. The complementary or secondary colors for red, green and blue are cyan, magenta and yellow respectively. These three colors are often referred to as the subtractive primary colors. When the three are combined in subtractive color mixing, they produce black.

🙂 🙂 🙂

Thankful Thursday

After seeing the news today and viewing the awful incident involving George Sodini who shot into a gym, murdering 3 woman and injuring 9 before killing himself, I have decided to begin posting 5 things I am greatful for on Thursdays.  Sometimes in life, it helps to remind ourselves of what we are greatful for, and not put so much thought and reverence into that which we feel we lack.  Expressing gratitude sends out a message to the universe that you are thankful, and you will draw to you that more to be thankful for, like a magnet.   Don’t you give more to those who reflect thanks than those who reflect anguish when you you offer them something???  It’s one of  the basic universal laws!  Misery attracts misery and joy attracts joy!

There are so many things I am thankful for today.   Reflecting back has made me realize some things I feel thankfull for changes each day,  as some things about me change—while other things remain stagnant. I believe we can see how we are growing; what we are knowing, etc. by what are greatful for.

I urge you to list five things in your life for which you are thankful.  You’d be surprized how much this list can tell you about yourself and your frame of mind.

Here’s my five for today:

I am thankful that I have people in my life who expect certain tings of and from me, but truly love me regardless…whether I live up to those expections or not…uncondiionally…and the feelings are mutual.

I am thankful to be gainfully employed and earn enough to take care of myself and my son, and to share with others every now and then too. 🙂

I am especially thankful that my mind is not tormented with anger, resentment, sadness and dispair that I see and read about so often.

I am thankful that my words might calm or inspire one person who may be feeling that anger, resentment, sadness, or dispair today.

I am thankful that I have grown to find enormous joy in the so called “little things” like a red rose, a butterfly, or the wind blowing through my hair. These “little things” are far bigger than anything man has ever created, and I often wonder why they are referred to as little things in the first place; as they are oh so grand!!!

I intended to limit my list to 5, but I have one more that I just have to list…I am thankful for the icecream sandwitch my Gee just brought over ot me!! ooom, yummy…:)

So, what are you greatful for today? I’d love to know.

No. I Can’t See the Wind…

No, I can’t see the wind. . .

but I can feel her chill down to my bones..

I can feel her warmth as she comforts my soul…

I see the effects of his force as he bristles over infinite blades of grass;

Each blade dancing individually, yet collectively to the wind’s sweet song. . .

I can see the magnitude of his majesty as the tree branches sway, too and fro…

No. I must admit, I have never seen the wind. . .

Yet, I can see how she touches all and everything…

in unison. . .still, independently…

I have seen how she has changed whole landscapes in seconds…

I have witnesses her bring the 200 year old mighty oak to the ground…

I watch her invisible force lift vast oceans onto shores…

I have witnesses her carry a kite into the glimpse of the sun

She gently lifts the sparrow into graceful flight….

He gently runs his fingers through the strands of my hair…

I feel his gentle touch caress my skin…

And. . . there are times when he simply takes my breath away…

Alas, I am but a feather in the wind…

she picks me up and takes me on many experiences,

then she gently lands me on the bountiful land

No.  I confess, I have yet to see the wind. . . himself…

But I feel his effects each moment I live. . .

I feel his presence…omnipotent…

I know his power … and his grace…

and I am ever so grateful for the wind….

I shall forever love the wind. . .

A Spiritual Riddle – You are Truly at Awe, Humbled and Thankful When I Grace You with My Presence. Who am I?

I am the sunshine after the raging storm;
I am the storm that made it so unbearingly uncomfortable
That you would not venture out further into the darkness
Sometimes I made it so dark you had to finally search for the lightness

I am the shelter in which you found refuge during the storm;
Although you think you deserve no respite and should be held accountable
I give you chance after chance to heighten your awareness
Knowing full well of your continued disregard and recklessness

I’ve saved you and your wretched sisters and brothers
Through countless encounters, so many times– through so much
Some say I’m truly amazing and so sweet is my sound
Since nearly the beginning of time, I’ve been patiently lingering around;

My benevolence is to many undeserving;
Many say I should pass it to more deserving others;
Those most deserving seem from your perspective to suffer so much
But, still I bestow my presence once more to your eager clutch,
In hopes that the love inside you will at last by you be found.

Or simply due to the unconditional sake of endless love
I can’t bear to see you endure pain and suffering.
The release of your agony brings me extreeme delight
Yet, I often hope in vain that you will finally see the light.

I am overjoyed when you are happy and beloved;
My only expectation is that you would open your eyes to see;
And no longer need my sweet song to guide you through the night
And free me forever from the burdens of your plight

You are truly at awe, humbled and thankful
When in your mist you see my sweet face;
If not for your gratitude, I might leave without trace
Who am I to you . . .?   (Click below for answer)
