I’m the most disillusioned of all fear based spirits – A Spiritual Riddle

Rick Mobs at Mine Enemy Grows Older , who I discovered through Paisley (thanks Jodie), has invited his readers/viewers to give words to his beautiful art. The above titled art needs no words; as it is a supernatural story in and of itself; but, since Rick has so graciously allowed us to put words to his stunning creation – here is my rendition. . . in another spiritual riddle . . .

I’ve tricked you since the days of old

Enticed by me, you’d lease your soul

If I could trade eternity . . .

You’d sell, not rent that soul to me.

I’m the most disillusioned of all fear based spirits

My existence holds but one egotistical merit

I bring forth false vision to the being

who can not bring himself to seeing

the wondrous beauty of the soul within

that shines like gold when love seeps in

that lasts through style and passing trends . . .

I’m the most deathly of all deadly sins!

If I could erase your lines of wear and tear

you’d trade your soul without a care

If I could make all bow to you

there’d be no limits to what you’d do

because you don’t see the beauty in creation

of what God blessed you with in relation

to all God’s creation, magenta, black, or white

I’ve tricked your vision; jaded your sight

by grace but for only a twinkle in time on earth

for God forbids his art to loose full worth . . .

in the vastness of creation’s grand eternity

Who am I?

I am the deadly spirit of Vanity

The Lesson of Dispair ~By CordieB

I’ve had many houses; but lost my home;

Like a drifter; I feel displaced; thus I roam

in the mind of the abyss; I lay my head…

fitting in no where; constantly afraid

of the anger that lies just on the surface…

unknowing of when it might unsurface;

I’ve been a haven for many weary souls

wandering in the nights of bitter cold…

strangers; often kinder than family,

or could it simply be they needed me…

when I could provide warmth and rest–

flying lessons for birds dropped from the nest.

Where are those birds; where have they flown?

In dreams I envision they’ve sustained their own.

I know they flew with love supreme…

like mirrored lights reflected, untamed; unseen

I feel i’m building up a wall of distance, strong!

In my times of need; where have they gone?

Perhaps they’ve barely strength to hold their own?

Resentment builds; yet dissipates…

twas not their plan; simply my fate…

I strain to love; yet can not hate.

I look within for the lesson; What can it be?

Why has good fortune abandoned me?

Whilst satan raises his ugly face

I pray to retain faith, love and grace…

Is this a test of will divine?

I search to God; send me a sign!

Allow not my heart to turn to stone…

from hurts that ache down to the bone.

My light is dimming; draining love thereof…

I never understood a heart that could not love.

Seems a long ago prayer for humility

alas is answered to reveal the cold heart’s reality;

step into the cold shoe; comprehend the rashion

of the souls who lost ability for compassion.

Enough! enough! . . . I must end this madness!

that’s quickly overshadowing joy by darkened sadness

I grasp a candle of hope; I whisper a prayer…

that by grace I pass the lesson of dispair

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is not the apology of  evil, nor the justification of mistreatment and offense.  It is the evocation, the clamor of the victim to God saying : Oh Lord take from me any poison that is in my heart, since this is like the smoke that hurts and blinds my vision.

Life must not coexist with infinite hate, on the contrary, it must return to Peace.  And when there has been affliction, physical and moral harm, then forgiveness is a miracle, which means the direct intervention of the Presence  of God.

We all make mistakes and the human being goes wrong in many ways but when there is misuse of power, abandonment, or misery, then this does not go away in a moment and traces stay. Forgiveness has the wonderful aptitude to heal these deep wounds.

To forgive is really self transformation, it is like emerging of darkness, of death. Nothing can be compared to Forgiveness. It is the conciliation of heaven and earth, the annulment of evil, of sin, of pain, of conflict and even of death. The person who forgives, discovers in his heart that God exists since  forgiveness is the understanding that allows us to receive the grace, which means, the Presence of God in the whole plenitude of the inner life.

THE BURNING HUT

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions.  But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky.

The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger.

“God, how could you do this to me!” he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.

“How did you know I was here?” asked the weary man of his rescuers.

“We saw your smoke signal,” they replied.
