Photo Friday Phantasmagoria!

I Dream in Colors whenever I Dream of You – in my dream Utopia!

The stars look up to you, my love – my night time is our euphoria

I fantasize in your dreamy eyes – through reality or fantasy disguise

There’s always a surreal, sensual surprise, in our Phantasmagoria

Mom’s Aways watching over you, even in your dreams, your Phantasmagoria –

My senses and invisible eyes are in constant state of being – cyclophoria!

In the Sun’s rising and setting, through clouds, or the moon’s crescent.

Through lightness, darkness, angels or demons – My peace is ever present.

This week’s topic (May 30th) is Phantasmagoria.  This dreamy word was chosen by me.  I first learned of it from a beautiful poem, written by the Angel, Enreal

Here is what I found on the word . . . .

Encarta Definition:
phan·tas·ma·go·ry [ fan tázmə gàwree ] (plural phan·tas·ma·go·ries)

noun

Definition:

1. bizarre images: a series or group of strange or bizarre images seen as if in a dream

2. ever-changing scene: a scene or view that encompasses many things and changes constantly

Miriam Webster Definition:

1: an exhibition or display of optical effects and illusions
2 a: a constantly shifting complex succession of things seen or imagined b: a scene that constantly changes
3: a bizarre or fantastic combination, collection, or assemblage

Urban Dictionary Definition:
1. phantasmagoria 7 up, 1 down

The best word in the world, it is used to describe a group of mythical and fantasy creatures, or just top confuse people as most people have never heard it.
As he looked into the forest he saw all manner of Phantasmagoria.

Seasons

This is my daughter, Michelle.  This picture was taken about 2 weeks ago.  This is a poem she wrote about 2 months ago . . .

The Day Ahead By Michelle Hudson

When the rain is pouring down . . .

Sometimes our vision gets cloudy . . .

Everything around us is muggy,

And we don’t want to adjust,

Because we can’t see the road in front of us

So we sit down and collaspe.

Just staring down at the dark, cloudy, wet road ahead

Just wanting to curl up in bed.

Praying for sunlight.

So we hug our pillows tight

Until our next sign

of Sunlight creeps into our lives.

~Michelle Hudson

And I said to Michelle, "This too shall pass."  And as we see today, it certainly did.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven ~Ecclesiastes 3:1

God Bless you all in all of your many seasons of love and life. . . CordieB.

You Alone Mighty God – by Carolyn Clark-Swann

Carolyn Clark-Swann is a dear friend and blessed woman.  She is a talented writer, songstress, and wedding planner.  Carolyn was recently promoted to a challenging position in the Equal Employment Opportunity Office for a major Government Agency.  Congrat’s CC.  You well deserve it!  Below is a sample of CC’s many talents!

Twinkle, twinkle little star…Lord God Almighty, how awesome You just are.

Up above the world so high…Your stars just dazzle and light up the sky.

Oh how excellent is Your name oh Lord in all the earth.

For there is none other…more than Your worth.

Thank you Lord for the sun that shines. Thank you Lord for healthy minds.

Thank you for the moon that gleams. Thank you for so many things.

For give us Lord, of our unkindness when we would otherwise go amiss.

Help us Lord to continue to strive to do our best,

fully knowing that You alone can handle the rest.

Encourage us to hunger, thirst and seek your word,

and to just stop depending on what we’ve only heard.

Let us live and demonstrate like we truly appreciate.

And when man wants to facilitate, let’s not hate nor discriminate but recognize

at any rate, that Lord, You alone are a Mighty God and always in complete control.

Bring the Boys Home

Vodpod videos no longer available.
I can remember vividly listening to and singing this song so many times as a girl during the Vietnam War.  My brother was over in Nam, and I wished so much that he was back home with us.  Fortunately, he returned after his tours safe and sound, mentally and physically.  But he reminds us so often that there are so many who were not so fortunate.  Today, I would like to replay this song written in the 70’s for our “boys” in Nam and dedicate it to the many young men and woman serving in Iraq.  Bring them back alive!!!!!

Fathers are pleading, lovers are all alone
Mothers are praying-send our sons back home
You marched them away-yes, you did-on ships and planes
To the senseless war, facing death and pain
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Turn the ships around, lay your weapons down
Can’t you see ’em march across the sky, all the soldiers that have died
Tryin’ to get home-can’t you see them tryin’ to get home?
Tryin’ to get home-they’re tryin’ to get home
Cease all fire on the battlefield
Enough men have already been wounded or killed
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Turn the ships around, lay your weapons down
(Mothers, fathers and lovers, can’t you see them)
Oooh, oooh…
Tryin’ to get home-can’t you see them tryin’ to get home?
Oooh, oooh…
Tryin’ to get home-they’re tryin’ to get home

Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
Bring the boys home (bring ’em back alive)
What they doing over there, now (bring ’em back alive)
When we need them over here, now (bring ’em back alive)
What they doing over there, now (bring ’em back alive)
When we need them over here, now (bring ’em back alive)
